Unfortunately, the young athlete did not pay attention to the pain in his ankle, which appeared two weeks before the competition, a Russian outlet wrote.

A minor ignored injury that turned out to be disastrous . Her leg buckled unnaturally, leaving tech assistants and fans in a state of horror.

In the video, which was recorded by one of the attendees of the event, the complete sequence is observed from the moment Radoshkevich reaches the competition area, until the precise moment in which his right leg gave way.

With the weight on his shoulders, Radoshkevich managed to lower himself smoothly (squat), but the injury occurred when he tried to get up. The right leg did not support the 250 kilos it had on its shoulders. And although in this type of competition there are assistants around, it was inevitable that the bar fell on his body.

As a result of that serious injury, Radoshkevich is hospitalized. According to the diagnosis, he has a closed fracture of two tibial bones in one leg and a complete fracture of the tibia. So the young man will have to leave now not only sports, but also his job, since he worked as a coach in a gym.

The next six months will be rehabilitation . The consequences are such that I am now unlikely to return to this sport. I have already accomplished great things, but other ambitions will have to be abandoned, he said.
